CEO:
Chief Executive Officer is the highest ranking executive in the company. He has most of the power. He reports directly to the Board of Directors. The CEO is the one who makes the decision for the company so that the company will achieve its objectives. He acts as a liaison between the company as a whole and Board of Directors. The main responsibility of the CEO is to handle the planning and strategic aspect of the business.
President:
A president is the rank lower than the CEO. He reports to the CEO. He is responsible for the performance of the day to day activities of the organization. He has to manage all the managers as well as departmental heads. He acts as the intermediary role between the CEO and the management. He has to perform all the activities under the guidance of the CEO. He is also known as the COO (Chief Operating Officer).
