Museum:
A museum is an institution that cares for (conserves) a collection of artifacts and other subjects of scientific, artistic, cultural, or historical importance and makes them available for the public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.
Art gallery:
Art gallery is a building or space for the exhibition of art, usually visual art. Although primarily concerned with providing a space to show works of visual art, art galleries are sometimes used to host other artistic activities, such as performance art, music concerts or poetry readings.
