Difference between seminar and workshop

Seminar:
Seminar is the lecture oriented activity which is delivered to the audience. With is suitable when the participants are more than hundred. Personalized attention is not possible in the seminars due to the presence of large audiences.
Workshop:
Workshop is the activity of delivering the lectures to the audiences but is mostly suitable when the number of participants is less. Workshop is more interactive as the personalized attention is possible due to the lower audiences. Here the participants are less than twenty five.

Advantages/Benefits	Its advantages are: A wealth of knowledge usually presented by many speakers at a time in a place. A great way for those who doesn’t like to read or attends classes to improve their knowledge.	Its advantages are: Users are usually very motivated. Have flexibility over length and frequency of sessions. Can offer a series of workshops that build on one another.
Disadvantages	Its disadvantages are: All the attendees must absorb their own cost. The knowledge which is shared might be incorrect. The chance that attendees will expect too much from the seminar and thus be disappointed.	Its disadvantages are: Users attending may have a broad range of skills. May have difficulty getting a room if classroom space is in short supply. May be hard to fit everything that you want to cover into a single workshop. Handling large classes for hands-on practice may be difficult.
