Blood is a liquid in animals and humans which delivers nutrients and oxygen to the cells. It takes away waste products and carbon dioxide from same cells. Blood is made up of plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
Plasma:
Plasma is the pale-yellow liquid in which blood cells float. Plasma consists of 90% water. There is not the presence of red, white blood cells and thrombocytes. The main purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.
