Initiative:
An initiative is the power which is provided to the people of the states in order to draft a proposed law. Initiative is of two types: Direct initiative and indirect initiative. In other words initiative is the start of something with a view that it will be continued. It shows the eagerness to perform the activities and take the responsibility.
Referendum:
Referendum is the direct vote in which the peoples are requested to provide their opinion about the social question. In Australia, referendum is organized in order to change the constitution.
