Vitamins are the chemical compounds which are obtained from the foods in order to function properly. The various types of vitamins can be found such as Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Vitamin K. The lack of vitamin in a body may cause different diseases. Vitamins can be destroyed due to heat.
Minerals:
Minerals are inorganic compounds which are obtained from soil and water. Minerals are not destructible. Minerals help in the formation of tooth and bone, blood coagulation, muscle contraction and to maintain pH level of blood. All the minerals are not needed for the body. The minerals are of two types: Macro minerals and Trace minerals.
