Difference between waxing and threading

Waxing:
Waxing is a temporary hair removal technique which removes the hair from the root. It takes about four weeks to grow a new hair in the waxed areas. Most of the areas of the body which are waxed are arms, feet, pubic area which is also called bikini waxing. The areas of the body which should never be waxed are eyelashes and eyelids as these areas can be damaged after waxing.
Threading:
Threading is the technique in which the unwanted hair is removed by a thread which is doubled and then twisted. Threading can remove the several hairs and it can be painful as well. The pain during the threading can be minimized if performed by the professionals. During threading the mouth, hand and neck is used.

History	In the 1930’s the first commercial waxes were manufactured in France to be sold to the public. Very soon, waxes became more available to the public.	The threading was firstly started in the Central Asia or India over 6000 years ago.

Advantages/Benefits	Its advantages are: It is possible to remove hair from all the areas of the body– small or large. Waxing is equally effective for fine hair of the lips andcoarse hair in the bikini area. Waxing is the better method than other types of hair removal methods. Waxing can also be done at home. Wax does not have any side effects.	Its advantages are: It creates no ingrown hairs. It is inexpensive, fast and painless. It is suitable for all skin types. It takes no more than 15 minutes to thread both eyebrows. No chemicals are used in threading, so there is no negative reaction. The results of treatment last for two to four weeks.
Disadvantages	Its disadvantages are: Waxing is the painful method of hair removal. It can lead to red rashes which disappear after a short while. Waxing is effective only when the waxing is performed on the hair that has grown above one centimeter. The risk of ingrown hair is more.	Its disadvantages are: It is very hard to find a very skilled practitioner. Threading only works on the flat surfaces and is not suitable for bikini lines or knees. Threading can cause folliculitis, reddening of the skin and skin pigment change.
